return to: Who We Are
… a congregation where music, liturgy, and prayer reflect the richness of the global church.
We gather each week for worship that is both firmly rooted in the ancient forms and traditions of Christian liturgy and attuned to contemporary concerns. We encounter the good news of Jesus in scripture, in song, in the sacraments, and in the gathered community. The Ecumenical Prayer Cycle shapes our weekly worship, leading us to pray for and sing songs from different parts of the world.
A congregation where worship reflects the richness of the global church…
Worship continues to be an area of great vitality for our congregation. See the worship committee report for some reminders of memorable and meaningful experiences singing and praying together this year. In addition to Sunday worship, two prayer groups have met throughout the year (one focused on intercessory prayer and the other on Centering Prayer), and a group led weekly Taizé-style evening worship during the seasons of Advent and Easter.
A question: Might we be ready to host a second worship service on Sunday evenings? We have been asking this question as a church over the past several months, and soon we hope to know if enough current members are interested in being part of a core group to start a second service.
