Home away from home

return to: Who We Are

We are…

… a home away-from-home, with people from different places becoming sisters and brothers in Christ.

Our members come from 40 countries and six continents. Some are in Geneva for decades, others for only a few months. All help the parish to be a community of shared beliefs, experiences and concerns. Opportunities for fellowship, spiritual growth and recreation bring families, friends and acquaintances together. Such bonds are precious in a city of so many welcomes and farewells.

A home-away-from-home…
We continue to be moved by the ways the members of this congregation care for one another, and that care was evident throughout the year. Members showed up for one another in times of need, neighborhood groups met for conversation and celebration, and many spent a day together traveling to the Grand Chartreuse monastery.

A question: How can we deepen our connections in small group settings? At the end of Walking Together this Lent, some of the participants said they would love to continue in small group study and prayer. Are there others out there who would like to meet monthly or every couple weeks for this kind of support and study (perhaps outside the church building)?
