English-Speaking Congregation of the ELCG Seeks a New Minister of Music
**Application Deadline Extended to 31 May
The English-Speaking Congregation of the ELCG is searching for a new minister of music to lead our community in song as part of weekly worship. This position will begin in September of 2020. Our search process comes in response to Terry MacArthur’s announcement that he will retire in the fall, following decades of faithful service.
Music is central to the worship life of our congregation. The vacancy notice states:
“Music, liturgy and prayer in the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Geneva, English-Speaking Congregation reflect rich traditions of churches around the world. Our membership of about 300 comes from 40 different countries. We gather each week for worship that is both rooted in ancient liturgies and attuned to contemporary concerns. We sing songs and hymns from many different cultures.”
