Cong. Retreat 2019

Retreat packet 2019

Monterêt Congregational Retreat
from 5 pm on Friday 13th to 4 pm on Saturday 14th September 2019

General information.

Dear ELCG friends

Every year, we organise a residential Congregational retreat for all, this year we will again be up in the Jura, at Monterêt, near St-Cergue. The house is a holiday camping-retreat place with several dormitories, a few smaller bedrooms, cooking facilities and even heating, if required. And it is easily accessible by train from Nyon.
A programme will be provided over the two days, even for the younger ones.
It is a wonderful opportunity to get together, know each other better, enjoy some relaxation and fun, meditate and worship together.

On Friday, we will start off with home-made soups and bread (provided) and a pot-luck shared cold meal. Saturday breakfast will be continental, with freshly baked “tresse” and home-made jams and marmalade. Lunch will be something tasty, prepared by the cook, and will include a vegetarian option.

Towards the end of August, inscriptions forms will be available among the sign-up sheets. You are invited to send in your form rapidly – there are only 50 beds! Others may not be able to stay over and have to commute.
The cost of the weekend will cover your overnight stay, the equipment, plus a very reasonable amount for the meals. (Total: 30.- (overnight) + 15.- CHF (meals) per adult, about 20.- + 5.- CHF for those under 15). This will include Friday soup and bread, Saturday breakfast and lunch, coffee-breaks and snacks and will cover the equipment we need to have up there. If you can only come for the day, count 15.- CHF, children 5.- CHF (per day).

We hope you can make it – note the date in your diaries!
